Lewis Hamilton
This helmet was painted to celebrate Lewis’s world F1 championship 2008, and features one half in his ‘08 design, and the other half painted in his original karting design as painted by his father Anthony.
The two halves are seperated by a gold laurel wreath, with the front of the ‘old’ half sculpted to look like a 1990’s Arai GP4. Jason visited the McLaren factory to present the helmet to Lewis.
We have been designing and painting helmets for Lewis Hamilton since 1999 when he was racing karts.
The design is based on the original scheme designed by his father Anthony, and although it has evolved over the years it is still using the basic style and colours of the original.
