Franck Ruimy 'New York' Helmet

 

Franck came to us wanting a bespoke, one-of-a-kind design that reflected his home city, New York. He gave us complete free-rein on the design leaving us with complete artistic freedom to create a scheme from scratch, with no prior instructions.

 

This is the best way to approach these kind of designs as it means we are not restricted to following a set brief or a flat computer rendition. Everything on this helmet is completely hand painted. The graffiti was painted entirely freestyle with no sketching out or masks, just freehand airbrush.

 

There are an estimated 80-100 hours of work in this helmet start to finish.

 

Franck was really happy with the final artwork, his first reaction was to box another helmet up to send to us for painting too!
